Our Story

Founder

Larry W. Christmas is a proud Texas native, former U.S. Marine, successful oil and gas executive, and dedicated community advocate. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1993 to 1997 with the storied 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines (“Darkhorse”), under the 1st Marine Division. During his service, he was a battalion and regimental armorer (Gunsmith), completing two Western Pacific deployments with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. He received two Letters of Commendation and the Navy Achievement Medal for his exemplary service.

Following his honorable discharge, Larry embarked on a three-decade career in the oil and gas industry. He held several corporate management and leadership roles, culminating in his current position as managing partner of a global quality assurance and compliance firm.

Motivated by his military background and a deep commitment to giving back, Larry has devoted over a decade to supporting veterans and local service members. His hands-on involvement in charitable efforts inspired him to found The Guardians of Texas, a mission-driven organization aimed at improving the lives of those who serve and his community.
